First impressions matter, especially online. Making sure your listing looks its best is important to its success for you. Here are some tips and things to keep in mind when you are filling out your listing information.
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
With the limited attention span of the internet, photos and images will have the most impact to creating a positive first impression. However, you shouldn’t use just any photo. Use a nice, high-quality photo. If your photo is blurry or grainy, it could communicate the wrong message about how great your business is.
Note: for best photo display on your listing, make sure the dimensions are 1200 px by 800 px.
Where Are You Located?
That will always be the main purpose of any business directory – to come patronize your business. And people can’t do that unless they can find you. Make sure that you have the correct address listed. Our map feature will automatically pinpoint it on the map.
Note: if the map isn’t pinpointing correctly, try using you address without its suite number, then after it’s set on the map, add the suite number back in. If it’s a PO Box, set the city and zip code first, then replace the “Address” line with the PO Box after the pinpoint is set.
Your Business Phone Number and Business Hours
You are no stranger yourself to using Yelp, and often times your are using it to answer one of two things: 1) “What’s their phone number?”, or 2) “Are they open?”. It’s no different when users go to My Jeepney Stop, so make sure that information is available.
Upgrade Your Listing
Your Free Listing is a great start for your business, but to really unlock the power of this directory, the answer is upgrading to one of our paid subscription tiers. By doing so, you will avail the ability to add more images and more information to your listing. More importantly, your listing will gain greater visibility and make it easier for you business to be found.
For more information about the tiers, see our Subscription Tiers.
